The Story Of:Jacklyn(Part One)

Jacklyn was a college student. She was goth...not because she liked the style or music, or because she was 'troubled'. She was goth because thats who she was! She didnt care what anyone thought of her. She was just herself, and thats all that mattered to her!

She had a handful of friends, She would go to concerts with. Things like coffee houses to study...or local poetry readings....stuff like that! She was an art major, so she was into all that sort of stuff! She wrote some, but her passion was painting. You could tell by looking at her because she always had paint on her clothes somewhere! She was quiet and kept to herself most of the time. She was too afraid to open up to anyone!

One night she got a call from her friend Hayley. She wanted Jacklyn to meet her at the internet cafe. Jacklyn needed to do some research for a paper due the next day anyways, so she agreed!

When she got to the cafe, she seen Hayley sitting in the back corner with a large group of people. She walked to the back of the cafe and Hayley greeted her. She sat in a big green chair and listened in on the conversation. They were talking about music, movies and things like that. Then Jacklyn noticed a guy across the room looking at her! She looked back at Hayley who was talking about her boyfriend. Jacklyn never had a real boyfriend, so she was always a bit jealous when Hayley went on about hers!

A couple minutes into Hayley's boyfriend rant, Jacklyn looked around again, and the same guy was staring at her again. She seen him get up and start to walk towards her. She got a bit nervous and looked at Hayley for some guidance. Before she could get Hayley's attention the guy was standing in front of the group and he said 'Excuse me everyone do you mind if I take this little lady for a smoke with me out front?'

'Not at all' Hayley said pulling Jacklyn out of her chair with a wink. The guy walked her outside. He then lit a smoke. 'Want One?' He asked. Jacklyn shook her head. 'I noticed you looking at me' He said. 'Actually I think you were looking at me' She said smugly! 'Ha ha! ' He laughed looking into her eyes. 'My name is Jacob' 'I'm Jacklyn' She said (still nervous) 'Ok I was looking at you. I think you're pretty cute!' He said with a grin!

'I dont mean to be so forward, but I was wondering if you would like to go out sometime? Get to know each other a little bit more!' 'Uh....sure!' She said. She wasnt usually like this with guys, but there was something about him that she wanted more of. He took down her number, and they both went back into the cafe. Jacklyn made her way back to Hayley's group, and sat down. She looked up to find where Jacob went too, but she couldn't see him anywhere!
